The total power management solution needed by the ExpressCard specification is given by the TPS2231 and TPS2236 ExpressCard power interface switches. On the ExpressCard socket, the TPS2231 and TPS2236 ExpressCard power interface switches transmit 3.3 V, AUX, and 1.5 V. With integrated current-limiting circuitry, each voltage rail is secured.
Systems with single-slot ExpressCard|34 or ExpressCard|54 sockets are supported by the TPS2231. The TPS2236 supports devices with ExpressCard dual-slot sockets.
Notebook computers, laptop computers, personal digital assistants (PDAs), and digital cameras are the final equipment for the TPS2231 and TPS2236.
